December 28, 2007 - Long Island

John Lemanski

John Lemanski, MBA, CFE, senior manager in the Litigation Consulting, Valuation and Bankruptcy Services Practice Group at Margolin, Winer & Evens LLP, a leading certified public accounting and business advisory firm (MWE, New York, N.Y. and Garden City, N.Y.), has become one of the region's most sought after speakers on topics relating to business valuations and forensic accounting. This was recently demonstrated as Lemanski was called upon to share his expertise at two prominent professional engagements. On October 25, he addressed a New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) Technical Meeting sponsored by its Real Estate Committee held at the Milleridge Inn (Jericho, N.Y.). His topic for the NYSSCPA course was, "Forensic Accounting and Finding Fraud in Real Estate Engagements." Just weeks later, he repeated his role from previous years as a speaker for the 2007 Long Island Tax Practitioner Symposium. He spoke on "Valuation Issues" and was joined by Elliot Ogulnick for the November 14-16 program held at the Crest Hollow Country Club (Woodbury, N.Y.)
In both these presentations, Lemanski drew from his extensive experience in the areas of business valuations, forensic accounting and bankruptcy and insolvency work serving on behalf of legal professionals, corporate executives, financial services, debtors, creditors and secured lenders. At MWE, he specializes in business valuations, including intangible assets, fraud and forensic examinations and advising all constituencies of the Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. Adept at issues respecting strategic planning, workouts and business advisory, his industry expertise extends across diverse industries including construction, manufacturing and distribution, airline, finance, healthcare, real estate, retail and public utilities.
