LaBelle of NBT Bank to lead Upstate New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute as 2026 president

Rochester, NY The Upstate New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will be led by Thomas LaBelle, MAI, AI-GRS, of NBT Bank, as president. LaBelle, vice president and chief appraiser at NBT, has experience in the appraisal of a variety of real estate properties.

Other officers include Robert Chelus, AI-GRS Northwest Bank as vice president. The new secretary is Zachary DeMartino, MAI of BBG Real Estate Services. New directors are Alexander Green, MAI and Andrew Kniesel, SRA with Bruckner, Tillett, Rossi, Cahill & Assocs.

The Appraisal Institute is recognized as the leader in the real estate appraisal industry and is one of the oldest organizations of real estate appraisers in the world.
