Kozikowski named project manager at Racanelli Construction

Melville, NY Racanelli Construction Co., Inc. has appointed Charles Kozikowski, Jr. as project manager. He has 25 years experience serving in various aspects of the commercial/residential construction industry and brings a proven track record as a result and detail-oriented project manager. He has been involved in a wide range of projects, from large scale projects, including 20-acre projects valued at over $80 million to condominium projects, two to eight story projects and fast track projects.

Most recently, Kozikowski served as vice president of construction/project manager with concrete structures, development division, dba AJG Capital Development. There, he was a lead member of this start-up construction with involvement in all facets of construction and project management, from land purchasing, due diligence and securing of proper zoning, permits and utilities, to municipal and government liaison. His project management role also encompassed the preparation of budgets, job scopes and contract awards. 

His career also included his role as general construction superintendent/project manager with The Engel Burman Group where his responsibilities included bid leveling, costing, estimating, planning and project site management. While with Burman, he worked on such projects as The Bel Aire, a four-story, 55 and over community; the Ocean Grande, a eight-story, 92-unit mid-rise condo; The Bristol, The Seasons at Plainview and The Seasons at East Meadow; and Aqua, a 36-unit community. His projects also included 100,000 s/f of office space.

Kozikowski’s first role in the construction industry was as a Mechanic & Foreman with Nicholson & Galloway, a company that specialized in historical building restorations. 

He is a graduate of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman, PCC.
