Kleinberg joins CBRE as managing director

According to CBRE, Inc., Elaine Kleinberg has joined the company as a managing director in its local office brokerage. Kleinberg, a senior attorney with more than 20 years experience in commercial real estate, will be located in CBRE's Midtown office. Kleinberg's primary responsibilities include management and development of mid-level sales professionals and oversight of the legal agreement process. She will also assist in the development and delivery of sales training, as well as support sales operations and business development activities. "CBRE continually strives to provide the best platform of services and support for our clients and brokerage professionals and the addition of Elaine Kleinberg to our Manhattan operations is the latest example of providing them the best talent," said Matt Van Buren, president, New York Tri-State Region, CBRE. Previously, Kleinberg was general counsel for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank where she developed and managed the firm's national legal department for nearly two decades. In this capacity Kleinberg oversaw a diverse legal portfolio that included brokerage, property management, leasing, global corporate services, and facility management. Prior to that, she was a managing attorney with Mantell & Haskel, Esqs. Kleinberg began her professional career as an associate in Real Estate Advisory Services with Coopers & Lybrand, in New York. Kleinberg graduated from Boston College Law School with a J.D. She holds a B.A. in Communications and a B.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Kleinberg is a member of WX Inc. and the Real Estate Board of New York.
