Kelleher of H2M honored by the NYSSPE

On June 12th, the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) awarded Dennis Kelleher, P.E., of H2M architects + engineers, the Engineer of the Year award. Kelleher accepted the award at the NYSSPE's Annual Installation and Awards Banquet at the Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center. A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Kelleher has devoted his entire 37-year career to building and improving water supply and wastewater systems throughout Long Island. On his track to becoming H2M Water's president, he has developed expertise in public water supplies, groundwater, water resource development, distribution systems, storage and water treatment. He is also an advocate for the protection of safe water resources in the region. The Engineer of the Year award is presented by the NYSSPE to a professional engineer who has made an outstanding contribution to the goals of the Society of Professional Engineers by means of educational, collegiate and engineering achievements; professional society, technical society, civic and humanitarian activities; and displayed continuing competence. This is the third time in the last two years that an organization has recognized the Centereach native as Engineer of the Year. In 2014, he was named Engineer of the Year by both the NYSSPE Suffolk Chapter and the Metropolitan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. H2M Water provides engineering consulting services to over 40 public water suppliers throughout New York and New Jersey.
