JRS Architect, P.C. earns Top 100 Giant status from Interior Design Magazine
For the sixth consecutive year, JRS Architect, P.C., is ranked among Interior Design Magazine's Top 100 Giants for design work. It also earned a spot in the magazine's Top 40 architecture firms supporting the healthcare industry.
While looking at its complete portfolio, the annual survey ranked the 24 year old firm 53rd among the top 100 architecture/design firms across the country. This ranking is a 32% increase from 2009 when the firm earned the 78th slot on the list.
"Our success is totally dependent on our clients' success. Even in this down economy, we focused on their needs, their projects and the service that helps them achieve success," said John Sorrenti, FAIA, JRS' president. "We never waiver on our commitment to client service, which is how we've built many long-term, trusted relationships."
In the past year alone, those relationships led to projects that included 1 million square feet of work at various JPMorgan Chase branches, 75,000 s/f for Bethpage Federal Credit Union and 50,000 s/f for the Mandell School in New York.
With offices in Long Island, New York City and New Jersey, JRS also earned a spot on the magazine's survey of designers focused on the healthcare industry. It's the fifth straight year the company earned a spot in the Top 40, as it ranked 32nd, a two-place improvement from the year before.
"In the past year, we've helped many health-care organizations," Said Alex Hadjiyane, JRS' senior vice president who leads the firm's health-care practice. "While every company feels the impact of our business environment, we were able to grow our portfolio of great design work. These projects reflect a concern on the environment, aesthetics and function."
The JRS healthcare projects included special procedure and oncology suites, bio-medical labs, emergency rooms, imaging facilities and medical arts buildings. Clients in this arena include Mega MRI - Lake Success, Mount Sinai Hospital, Jenny Craig, LabCorp and many others.
According to Interior Design (www.interiordesign.net), the Top 100 Giants collectively grossed $2.2 billion in 2009, representing an 18% decrease in billings from 2008. "Our billings had positive growth again in 2009," said Sorrenti. "We are sustaining our success, in part, because of the sustainability we bring our clients. Our design teams look for solutions that support needs, green goals and budgets."
