JRS Architect makes Zweig Letter Hot Firm list for 2nd consecutive year

According to JRS Architect, P.C., for the second consecutive year, management consulting and research firm ZweigWhite has named the firm to The Zweig Letter Hot Firm list of the 175 fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firms. Wayland, Mass.-based ZweigWhite issues The Hot Firm List each October since 2000, including on the list the design and environmental firms that have outperformed the economy and competitors to become industry leaders. The Zweig Letter Hot Firm List recognizes small and large firms for their successes. Firms are compared by their change in revenue and earnings over the trailing three years in terms of real dollars and percentage change. When asked why he thought JRS was included in the top 175 firms by Zweig White two years in a row in such challenging economic times, founder and president of JRS John Sorrenti, said, "To be included in the ZweigWhite Hot Firm List once is an honor; to be included for the second consecutive year is an acknowledgement of the continued hard work and dedication put forth every day by the JRS team. "JRS prides itself in partnering with our clients to design for their needs, objectives, and budgets. As part of our normal course, we look to value engineer throughout the project development cycle. JRS holds high standards for providing quality service and believes that communication and documentation are key to quality service. As a testimony to our consistent delivery of quality, 90% of JRS' business is repeat business." "This is a tremendous accomplishment, particularly in these challenging economic conditions," said Mark Zweig, founder and CEO, Zweig White. Being named to the Hot Firm List is the latest honor JRS has received. Interior Design magazine has named it one of the top 100 Interior Design Giants since 2004 and one of the top 40 Health-Care Interior Design firms since 2005. JRS is also the recipient of numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, most recently for two bank branches. The Zweig Letter 2010 Hot Firm List is based on gross revenue from 2006-2009, as verified by financial statements or income tax returns reviewed by third parties. The list is limited to firms based in the U.S. and Canada deriving the majority of their revenue from the practice of architecture, engineering, planning, environmental consulting, or allied disciplines. The selected firms were honored at the 11th annual Zweig Letter Hot Firm Conference, held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Every year since the Zweig Letter Hot Firm list was inaugurated, architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firms in the U.S. and Canada have received recognition for growth and profitability. Established in 1986, JRS Architect, P.C. has offices in Mineola, N.Y., New York City, and Princeton, N.J. The firm has grown from six people since its establishment to more than 45 today serving Long Island, the greater New York City area, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. It has developed design expertise in the corporate, educational, financial, health care, hospitality, and public spaces and retail markets.
