JRM Construction Management builds 4,200 s/f Staple Pigeon retail store at 21 Mercer St

Manhattan, NY JRM Construction Management has completed construction of Staple Pigeon’s inaugural U.S. retail store at 21 Mercer St. in the SoHo district. Transforming a former Nike location into a 4,200 s/f immersive shopping destination, this modern space captures the influential streetwear brand’s edgy, street-inspired identity while offering a bold new presence in the city’s competitive fashion scene.

Completed in close collaboration with the brand founder, Jeff Staple, the project features extensive custom millwork thoughtfully integrated throughout the store. From the layout to the finishes, every element reflects Staple Pigeon’s pioneering role in urban fashion, showcasing the brand’s culture and heritage in a dynamic environment that encourages customers to connect deeply with the Staple ethos.

“We’re proud to have delivered a high-impact retail space that captures the very essence of Staple Pigeon,” said Joseph Schimenti, VP of retail at JRM Construction Management. “Our focus on detailed craftsmanship and brand alignment ensures that visitors experience a unique, immersive encounter with the Staple identity.”

This flagship location further highlights JRM’s ongoing success in delivering exceptional retail environments throughout SoHo, recently completing high-profile stores for internationally recognized brands such as Aritzia, Axel Arigato, Chimi, Carhartt, Joybird, and PacSun. By combining extensive construction expertise with a keen understanding of brand storytelling, JRM continues to help its clients stand out in the crowded marketplace and deliver memorable experiences to consumers.
