Jonathan Rose Companies, LLC names Chauhan CFO

Jonathan Rose Companies, LLC, one of the leading green real estate development, investment and project management firms, has named Sanjay Chauhan chief financial officer (CFO). In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, he will manage investor relations and oversee the firm's investment funds. The announcement was made by Jonathan F.P. Rose, the company's president. "Sanjay Chauhan shares our company vision of creating affordable communities of opportunity that deliver economic, environmental and social returns for our investors, our residents, and communities in which we work," said Rose. "We are so pleased to have someone of his character and capabilities join our firm." Most recently, Mr. Chauhan served as CFO and asset management leader at Urban American, a New Jersey-based real estate firm focused on acquiring, improving, and managing workforce housing. During his time there, Chauhan played an integral role in in the company's expansion in the multi-family sector. "I am eager to grow the Jonathan Rose Companies investment platform," said Chauhan. "We have established a terrific track record in the preservation and greening of affordable and mixed income projects, an area in which I think there is a tremendous opportunity for growth." Chauhan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Politics and a Master of Arts from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, which he attended on a Rhodes scholarship. He completed a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the UK, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Mathematics Subsidiary from Delhi University in India (where he received the Mark of Honor award - one of just three recipients in the school's 100-year history). He is credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
