Keeping a brand new firm in its second year in the black and not only profitable but profit sharing over $30,000 back to my agents in a down market. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2010? Selling several high-end new construction projects. How do you contribute to your company and / or the industry? My leadership is based on integrity, open communication and dedication to offering the best service to our clients. We have achieved great things in a short time by adhering to these goals. What advice would you give to women just starting out in commercial real estate? Know your market! Take the extra steps to understand what is happening locally. Also, I encourage serious commercial agents to go for the CCIM designation. It will impact your career like nothing else. How do you manage the work/life balance? Time blocking. If you do not time block your life could be in chaos! Make sure you schedule your income producing activities before the rest of life gets in the way. Once you have done those things, the rest will have a way of taking care of itself! Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career? My husband who has been a student of business throughout his career. Gary Keller, for reinforcing the things we all should do to be great. And, Mo Anderson. Why are we here? To make money. Let's go. What impact has social networking had on your business? It is building in momentum. Some of it has been "strange" to say the least. But several connections have created opportunities. I am refining my connections daily.
