Israel Bonds tops $5.1 million in bond sales at annual N.Y. luncheon

State of Israel Bonds' Architects, Designers and Engineers Division topped $5.1 million in bond sales at its annual luncheon at the N.Y. Hilton honoring architect Richard Meier, designer of the Getty Center in Los Angeles, the Jubilee Church in Rome, and other prize-winning buildings in the U.S. and abroad. The division also presented a lifetime achievement award to interior architect Richard Romm, a principal of Sterling Interiors Group, for his leadership and service in its campaign. Dais guests included Israel Bonds leaders Kent Swig of Swig Equities and Terra Holdings, Irwin Cantor of the N.Y.C. planning commission, Stephen Karafiol of Tishman Construction, Marvin Mass and Douglas Mass of Cosentini Associates, and Leonard Koven of Atkinson Koven Feinberg Engineers.
