Garden City, NY InspireDesign Creative Studio completed two projects that have transformed Long Island offices into spaces that inspire, comfort, and foster a sense of wellness.

“We are excited to cap a year of projects that make our clients’ spaces more exciting and welcoming,” said Diana Lillo, CEO of InspireDesign Creative Studio. “We believe in the profound impact of art, and studies have shown that incorporating nature scenes can increase a sense of wellbeing and reduce stress for occupants.”

InspireDesign spearheaded numerous projects across Nassau and Suffolk Counties as well as projects in New Jersey and Maine, for clients across corporate office, healthcare, education and real estate and involved the design of diverse spaces such as lobbies, hallways, offices, waiting rooms, and conference rooms.

Among the created projects was the common areas of BEB Capital, located at 26 Harbor Park Dr. in Port Washington. To attract additional tenants to the 71,000 s/f building, BEB Capital commissioned InspireDesign to develop artwork and way-finding solutions for their corridors, incorporating existing art pieces with new, Long Island-inspired abstract compositions.

“When planning the renovations at 26 Harbor Park Dr., we aimed to integrate a significant art component. Our vision was to craft a workplace ecosystem that fosters collaboration and creativity,” said Lee Brodsky, CEO of BEB Capital. “The artwork completes the transformation, presenting the property in a fresh and forward-thinking light, ultimately creating a vibrant and dynamic workplace environment that helps the building standout in the market.”

“The blank canvas was an exciting challenge,” said Lillo.

“We developed large triptychs to cover the vast walls and created the artwork around local lighthouse, harbor, and pier photography. For the way-finding solutions, we went with dramatic matte black vertical bands with neon suite numbers and a wood element to elevate the aesthetic.”

The commercial property has now been reimagined to reflect BEB Capital’s dedication to creating modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments for businesses to thrive, aligning with BEB Capital’s mission to provide exceptional commercial real estate solutions.

Another of InspireDesign’s successful 2024 projects was at the New York Cancer and Blood Specialists’ Rockville Centre location at 50 North Park Ave. There, InspireDesign objective was to create a calming environment to support NYCBS work with individuals facing cancer and blood disorders.

“Our mission is to provide world-class, patient-centered, affordable care to patients with cancer and blood disorders in their own communities, close to family and friends,” said Jeff Vacirca, MD, CEO of NYCBS. “Through our partnership with InspireDesign, we are able to create modern, healing spaces that align with our mission. Each piece of artwork is thoughtfully selected to reflect the beauty and strength of our patients’ journeys, promoting a tranquil and uplifting environment that supports their healing process.”

The artwork created by InspireDesign integrated soothing abstracted nature and watercolor effects to provide an additional layer of support and comfort for patients receiving infusions and care.

“For several years, we’ve partnered with NYCBS to infuse their spaces with the restorative power of art,” said Lillo. “Our streamlined process and local manufacturing allow us to deliver curated artwork packages as the finishing touch for each new location, with many collections custom-colored to complement their interiors, with a focus on biophilic, nature-inspired imagery.”

Lillo says elements including nature and biophilic design will continue to dominate in 2025, with more customers interested in bringing nature indoors and up close with their employees, customers and patients.

The evolving relationship of environmental consultants and the lending community - by Chuck Merritt

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
