Zuckerbrot and Gellar of Sholom & Zuckerbrot negotiate 2,250 s/f lease to Radio Shack
RadioShack has opened a new store in the Kew Gardens section, according to Frank Zuckerbrot, president of Sholom & Zuckerbrot, the managing and exclusive leasing agents for Hillside Plaza Shopping Center. Zuckerbrot represented the landlord in the deal together with Marc Geller.
RadioShack has taken 2,250 s/f of a 4,500 s/f space formerly occupied by a Blockbuster Video store for a long-term lease. The 25,000 s/f shopping center is located at the convergence of Hillside and Metropolitan Aves. and 126th St. RadioShack was represented in the deal by Olympia Court Realty.
"Hillside Plaza Shopping Center was developed by our affiliate, Octagon Properties LLC, in 1996, and many of its tenants - including Blockbuster - have been here since inception," said Zuckerbrot. "We've always cultivated a complimentary mix of retailers at Hillside Plaza, and RadioShack will only contribute further to that one-stop-shopping atmosphere."
S&Z also has overseen the renewal of a 2,080 s/f space for original Hillside Plaza tenant Petland Discounts. The remaining 2,250 s/f of end-cap space that Blockbuster occupied is currently available for rent.
