According to Simon Konover, president and CEO of The Simon Konover Companies, Konover Properties Corp., James Wakim has joined the company as executive VP and COO. Wakim is responsible for the corporate function of the Simon Konover Companies and has responsibility for its five divisions. Prior to Konover, Wakim was a partner in the capital markets group of the law firm of Brown Rudnick Berlack Israel LLP. Wakim graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 1979 and received his juris doctor, with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1982. Wakim serves as the Connecticut state director for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
