Thru the Lens: Skanska USA attends Muscle Dystrophy Association's (MDA) 16th Muscle Team Kick-Off

Skanska USA attended the Muscle Dystrophy Association's (MDA) 16th Muscle Team Kick-Off at Chelsea Piers to help the MDA raise awareness and fundraise to find treatments and cures for muscle deteriorating diseases. The event is a sports dinner where professional athletes and New York-based executives join together in an effort to combat Muscular Dystrophy, ALS and related diseases. Each athlete is paired with a "MDA Buddy," a local child living with muscle dystrophy. New York Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden and Skanska's Greg Murphy flex their muscles in a fight against Muscle Dystrophy at the Muscle Dystrophy Association's (MDA) 16th annual Muscle Team Kick Off held at Chelsea Piers in New York City. The Muscle Dystrophy Association (MDA) The MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. Each year, Skanska purchases at the MDA Kick-Off in support of the organization (MDA), or provides funds to send children diagnosed with Muscle Dystrophy to summer camp. In addition to this effort, Skanska's Metro New York office supports a variety of altruistic organizations, including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer Society and Toys for Tots.
