The Vortex Group handles 18,721 s/f in leases; Marek and Burger secure 10,221 s/f for Key Square at 650 Madison Avenue

New York, NY The Vortex Group, LLC completed the following leases totaling 18,721 s/f : New York hedge fund, Key Square Group LP, signed a lease for 10,221 s/f on the 18th floor at 650 Madison Ave. The first-class location, central park views and high-end pre-built space were among the primary reasons behind the startup hedge fund’s leasing decision. Rick Marek and Jeff Burger of The Vortex Group, LLC represented Key Square Group. Andrew Ackerman of Vornado Realty Trust represented ownership in-house, along with a team at JLL including Mitch Konsker, Frank Doyle, Dan Turkewitz and David Kleiner. California based law firm, Gerard Fox Law, P.C., opened its first New York office at 12 East 49th St., with 8,500 s/f on the 26th floor of the building. This growing law firm was immediately drawn to the impressive views, responsive management and high-end finishes offered by ownership. Marek and Andrew Wiemert of The Vortex Group, LLC represented the firm in this transaction. Robert Bakst represented the owner, Kato International LLC in-house.
