The Creative Core formed to promote and market region's assets

The Creative Core is an initiative of the Central Upstate Regional Alliance. This 37 member partnership was formed to promote and market the region's assets to retain and attract business and talent. The 12-county region consists of St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Tompkins, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oswego, Lewis and Cortland counties who have pledged to work together on a regional branding initiative. This broad-based effort includes business, academic, government and local community leaders who share a common vision of promoting this region as a place to find economic opportunity and quality of life. Together, they will build and market a competitive region. The Creative Core Partners, pledge to work together and follow these guiding principles: * Commit to promoting the region as a vibrant, creative place to live, work and invest. * Commit to promoting the region as a place that supports and nurtures creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship for business and individuals alike. * Commit to promoting the Creative Core brand, logo and accompanying messages in creative ways through new and existing communications, marketing and recruitment channels.
