Tarantino appointed director of property management and leasing for simone development

According to Simone Development Cos., a full service real estate investment company, Mario Tarantino has been appointed as director of property management and leasing. Tarantino has more than 25 years experience in managing class A properties including corporate headquarters of Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he was senior portfolio manager at Grubb & Ellis and transition manager in connection with that company's purchase of the former Union Carbide headquarters in Danbury, Conn. At Simone, Tarantino is responsible for leasing and management of two of the company's class A office properties-Harrison Executive Park and One Sound Shore. Tarantino attended Iona College where he earned a bachelor's degree with a major in Construction and Facility Management. He has been an active member of the Westchester Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association, having served on its board and is currently VP. Headquartered in New Rochelle, Simone Development Companies is a full service real estate investment company specializing in the acquisition and development of office, retail, industrial and residential properties in the tri-state area. The privately held company owns more than 90 commercial properties with a total of approximately 4 million square feet, ranging from multi-building office parks to retail and industrial space in Westchester County, Queens, the Bronx, Long Island and Connecticut. Simone's Residential Division has produced and sold dozens of high-end and middle-income residences and has hundreds of units in the pipeline.
