SWBR honored by 2019 Jeffrey Zogg Build New York Awards for design of RIT’s MAGIC Spell Studios

Rochester, NY SWBR was recognized by the 2019 Jeffrey Zogg Build New York Awards for its design of Rochester Institute of Technology’s MAGIC Spell Studios at a virtual award ceremony held on October 20^th. The Association of General Contractors NYS awards highlight the positive impact of the construction industry in New York State involving building and heavy/highway construction.

Recognized in the New Construction category, MAGIC Spell Studios is RIT’s Center for Media, Arts, Games, Interaction and Creativity. SWBR designed the facility featuring technology to create and commercialize computer gaming, film and animation, graphic design and imaging sciences projects. The studio provides students with a hands-on, high-tech environment from which they can launch their own companies in the city and is the first commercialization studio of its kind in the Northeast.
