Sussman promoted to vice chairman by CBRE

New York, NY CBRE Group, Inc. has promoted Andrew Sussman, an 18-year veteran of its New York Consulting Group, to vice chairman.  Over the years, Sussman has established himself as a strategic thinker, a flawless executor and an extremely capable partner, working with high-profile CBRE teams on assignments that have made their mark on Manhattan commercial real estate. Most recently, his work on Citadel’s 211,000 s/f lease established anchor tenancy at the new 425 Park Ave.   “Achieving vice chairman is a pinnacle for achievement and a well-deserved honor,” said Matthew Van Buren, president, CBRE Northeast division. “Andrew’s career is a showcase for successfully navigating real estate complexities for some of our city’s largest and most significant occupiers.”   Sussman’s impressive track record includes becoming an integral part of teams that represented Viacom in its 1.6 million s/f renewal at 1515 Broadway, and Citigroup in its 2.6 million s/f renewal at 388-390 Greenwich St. Both were headquarters renewals—and two of the largest leases ever completed in Manhattan.   Beyond Viacom and Citigroup, Sussman’s client list includes a noteworthy line-up of established financial services, media and law firms—Morgan Stanley, CBS, Mayer Brown, Baker Botts, Proskauer, Dentons and Akin Gump, among them. His impact across major occupiers in Manhattan has led to more than 10 million s/f in transactions within the past five years.   “Having worked side-by-side with Andrew on numerous transactions for nearly two decades, I can attest to his passion for the business, his tireless work ethic and the fact that he puts his client’s best interests above all else,” said Lewis Miller, vice chairman, New York Consulting Group. “His promotion was the obvious next step to commend all that he has accomplished.”  Sussman graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in History. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and lives in Manhattan with his wife, Lucinda, and their three children.
