Stribling Assocs. announces Witherwax to serve as executive, VP, director of sales in Brooklyn office

According to Stribling & Associates, one of New York's premier residential brokerage firms, Catherine Witherwax has joined the firm as an executive VP, to serve as the director of sales for Stribling's soon-to-be-opened Brooklyn office. Witherwax brings more than a dozen years of real estate experience and insight in the Brooklyn market to the firm. "Catherine is well-known as an honest, hardworking, influential manager, and knowledgeable on all things Brooklyn," said Elizabeth Stribling-Kivlan, president of Stribling & Associates. "We are thrilled to have her on board as we continue to expand Stribling into the borough." Previously serving as the executive VP & director of sales of Douglas Elliman's Brooklyn Heights office since 2010, Witherwax also worked as a senior associate broker at The Corcoran Group and was a founding member of Corcoran's Brooklyn new development division. After several years on Wall Street with firms including Citigroup and Smith Barney, Catherine joined the real estate industry in 2001, selling and marketing a diverse array of unique properties in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. "Stribling & Associates is known for being a leader in New York City's luxury real estate market," said Witherwax. "I am excited and proud to manage Stribling's first Brooklyn office, as the firm shares my commitment to quality not only in the market as a whole, but also my beloved home borough of Brooklyn." Catherine Witherwax is a graduate of the Berkeley Carroll School, and Trinity College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Italian Studies. Located at 384 Atlantic Avenue, where the sought-after neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill, and Downtown Brooklyn converge, Stribling's 3,500 square foot office will house as many as fifty additional brokers. With the opening of the Brooklyn location, Stribling continues to be a formidable sales force with more than 250 agents representing over $500,000,000 in exclusive listings comprised of resale, new development and rental units in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
