Spacesmith designs new showroom and office space for Liz Claiborne

Spacesmith, the 25-person New York-based architecture and design firm was selected as the designer by Liz Claiborne, Inc. for their new showroom and office space at 1441 Broadway. "We are extremely proud to have been retained to design the new Liz Claiborne and Ellen Tracy showrooms and office interiors," Jane Smith, president of Spacesmith said. "As an international designer and retailer of women's and men's apparel, accessories and fragrance products worldwide, the company's new design reflects an effectual work and showroom space using sophisticated, natural materials." Located in the borough's fashion neighborhood, the new 6,500 s/f office and showroom space features a tailored, updated design using natural, timeless materials, such as rich wenge wood, and fusing it with bronze glass, mirrors, and coil curtains to translate the vision of Ellen Tracy as the "modern classic" brand.
