Solomon of ABS Partners arranges 10-year, 7,200 s/f combination sublease and direct lease

Joint Council 1217, part of the United Service Workers Union, has signed a combined 10-year lease at City View Plaza, 36-36 33rd St, Long Island City. Joint Council 1217 has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years and is the home of Locals: 74, 1031 and 811; together representing workers in numerous industries throughout the country. The 7,200 s/f, glass office space had been occupied by ScharffıWeisberg, an entertainment technology company relocating to Secaucus, N.J. The 10-year deal is a combination of a three-year sublease from the existing tenant, ScharffıWeisberg, followed by a seven-year direct lease with the building's owner, City View Plaza, LLC. Steven Solomon, associate managing director at ABS Partners Real Estate, LLC represented Joint Council 1217. Robert Frost, president of Signature Partners, LLC represented Scharffı Weisberg and Peter Kosteas of Alma Realty Corp represented the owner, City View Plaza, LLC.
