Simoncic of FDT appointed as Nassau County Bar Assoc. municipal law and land use committee chair

Uniondale, NY According to Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP, Judy Simoncic was appointed chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s municipal law and land use committee. She will serve a two-year term.

This committee reviews trends and developments in land use and zoning, land use planning and important issues in municipal law, including focusing on new legislation affecting local municipal attorneys on Long Island.

“We recently hosted the first meeting of the committee. Jeff Greenfield, vice chair of the Nassau County Planning Commission, and Sean Sallie, deputy commissioner of the Nassau County Department of Public Works, shared their knowledge and expertise about the subdivision review process and General Municipal Law 239-f review in the county,” said Simoncic. “This was the first meeting convened by the Committee in several years. My vice chair, Elisabetta Coschignano, and I look forward to hosting more meetings that all of our committee members can enjoy and learn from.”

Simoncic earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and her B.S. from Ithaca College.
