Manhattan, NY According to Silverstein Properties, one of the city’s leading real estate development and management companies, Asana Inc., a leading work management platform, signed a 44,000 s/f office expansion at 3 World Trade Center. The company has grown to three times its original size since becoming a tenant of the building with a 17,000 s/f lease in 2019, and will now lease 61,000 s/f in the building.

“The World Trade Center is the perfect home for fast-growing technology companies,” said Jeremy Moss, EVP of leasing at Silverstein Properties. “Successful dynamic companies like Asana, Spotify and Uber have the real estate flexibility they need to grow, and the perfect location from which to compete for talent. As companies adapt to post-pandemic life and plan for their future, well-located, accessible, sustainable and high tech buildings like 3 WTC will continue to be their workplace of choice.”

The lease expansion reflects the continued recovery of New York City post-pandemic, particularly in Lower Manhattan.

According to Downtown Alliance, Lower Manhattan was the fourth-fastest growing neighborhood in New York City in 2021, and the fastest growing in Manhattan. Last year also saw a recovery in leasing activity, rising 24% over the record low set in 2020.
