Shapiro of Winick Realty Group reps. The Sapir Org. in 3,410 s/f lease

Alex Sapir, president of The Sapir Org. has completed the signing of a 3,410 s/f lease with Staples, Inc. at 261 Madison Ave. in midtown Manhattan, bringing the building's retail occupancy to 100%. "It is a wonderful show of support to have Staples, the world's largest office supply product company, open one of their new Manhattan based Staples Copy and Print Shops at 261 Madison," said president Alex Sapir. "We are pleased to welcome Staples to our tenant roster and we are confident that we will enjoy a long and prosperous relationship with the company." The lease is a 10-year term with two options at five years each. The Staples Copy and Print Shop will occupy the ground floor on the northeast corner of the building at 261 Madison. The Sapir Org. was represented by Hal Shapiro from Winick Realty Group and the tenant was represented by Chase Welles from Northwest Atlantic. 261 Madison Ave. is a 28-story office tower with 385,046 s/f that is uniquely located between Midtown and Midtown South on Madison Ave. between 38th and 39th Sts. The building offers amenities to their tenants including 24/7 building access and security, a messenger center, cleaning staff, on-site building management staff, a loading dock and parking garage. Staples joins retail tenants Federal Express and Signature Bank, and notable commercial office tenants including Primedia, Aftra, Ad Council and United Staffing. The signing of the Staples lease brings 260 and 261 Madison Ave., two of The Sapir Org. properties to 100% retail occupancy. Staples, Federal Express and Signature Bank are retail tenants at 261 Madison and Chase Manhattan Bank is located at 260 Madison Ave. 260 Madison is a 22-story tower with 524,584 s/f of commercial and retail space. "We have developed an excellent working relationship with The Sapir Organization and we were happy to place our clients within this well located and wonderfully maintained building," said Hal Shapiro from Winick Realty Group. "The Sapir Organization has earned a reputation for excellence in our industry and we are happy to be associated with Alex Sapir and the Organization."
