Schiller of Pyramid Brokerage leases 15,000 s/f at Big Lots Plaza; Norris of Mission Commercial reps tenant; Planet Fitness

Planet Fitness, one of the country's leading fitness centers with over 500 locations nationwide, has selected Lockport's Big Lots Plaza at 5897 South Transit Rd. for one of its Western New York locations. Planet Fitness operates in the Greater Buffalo area at locations in West Seneca and Amherst. David Schiller, SIOR, of Pyramid Brokerage Company/Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, revealed the leasing of 15,000 s/f of space at the 137,000 s/f Big Lots Plaza. Pyramid is marketing the property for the New York City-based developer. Mission Commercial's Ginny Norris of Rochester represented Planet Fitness in the lease negotiations. "Planet Fitness will be a great addition to the Big Lots Plaza," said town supervisor Marc Smith. "In addition to recent interest in the Big Lots Plaza, the town expects construction of the Super Walmart project to be underway soon as well as construction of the $4 million Basil Volkswagen project." The north end of the Big Lots Plaza features 50,000 s/f of contiguous space, which can be subdivided, and an additional 8,000 s/f of space next to the Planet Fitness location. Other tenants in the Plaza include Big Lots, Smarty Pants, Fantastic Sam's, Fastenal, Ladies Nails, Sherl's Laundry, Frontier Dental, EG Tax Services, and Dollar General. An outparcel on Transit Rd. is available for development at the plaza.
