Schenectady County completes 20-acre sale to Fortitech: $1.05 million
According to Schenectady County officials, they have closed on the sale of 20 acres at the County Airport to Fortitech netting the county $1.05 million.
Fortitech has started construction of a new 40,000 s/f building at the county's new Airport Tech Park.
Susan Savage, chair of the Schenectady County legislature said, "This is another great economic development win for Schenectady County and a win for the taxpayers. The expansion of Fortitech and the creation of an exciting new airport tech park will add to our tax base and create more jobs for Schenectady County."
Savage thanked the County IDA and Metroplex for their efforts.
County IDA member and county legislator Marty Finn said, "Fortitech is a company with global operations. This new facility could have been built anywhere in the world and we are very proud that they are expanding into Glenville at our new Airport Tech Park."
