Royal Properties brokers 22,000 s/f for new Aldi Supermarket in Nanuet

Nanuet, NY According to Royal Properties, Inc., Aldi signed a long term lease for 22,000 s/f at Rockland Center, 43 East Rte. 59. Aldi will be taking a portion of the former Pathmark Supermarket and renovating it into a new Aldi Supermarket.

David Landes and Jeanine Kemm of Royal represented the landlord, American Continental Properties (ACP) and Tim McNamara of Sullivan Hayes Cos. represented Aldi.

“Aldi will fill a void in the trade area due to the closing of the Pathmark Supermarket. Aldi was drawn to this location because of its traffic counts of over 32,000 cars per day and the strong retail co-tenancy at the this shopping center,” said David Landes, principal at Royal.  

Rockland Center is a 265,000 s/f shopping center, which underwent a transformation in 2017.  Aldi will join newly signed TJ Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, Kirkland’s Home Décor along with other co-tenants such as HomeGoods, PetSmart, AC Moore, Party City, Big Lots, AutoZone, Lumber Liquidators, McDonald’s, Chili’s, Five Guys and a varied combination of local and regional retailers.
