Rosengarten of Leslie J. Garfield & Co. brokers $4.5 million sale of two-unit apartment duplex on 350 East 84th Street

Leslie J. Garfield & Co., Inc. has completed the sale of 350 East 84th St., a four-story Anglo-Italianate brownstone located on the South side of 84th St. between First and Second Aves. The property, originally one of four contiguous houses built as a single-family home in 1864, is on a 20' x 102' lot and contains two duplex apartments. The property was sold for $4.5 million. The property was owned by Coleman Jacoby, an Emmy-award winning comedy writer. The buyers, a real estate family who lives abroad, will do some minor renovation and rent the units out for the foreseeable future. Long-term conversions include expansion and conversion back to a single family. Lydia Rosengarten of Leslie J. Garfield & Co. represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Tristan Harper of Douglas Elliman. The attorney for the seller was represented by Stanley Sanders, the buyer was represented by Joan Greenberg.
