Buffalo, NY Rockabill, a development partner and consultant to nonprofit and for-profit owners, has hired Christopher Dirr as a principal. In his role, Dirr will focus on utilizing Rockabill’s knowledge of intricate affordable housing financing tools to develop and preserve affordable and supportive housing in upstate NY and Pennsylvania while expanding upon the firm’s relationships with housing authorities, for-profits, and nonprofits across the region.

“We are excited to welcome such an accomplished industry professional to Rockabill,” said Niall Murray, the firm’s managing principal & founder. “Chris amplifies the strength of our diverse team and will join principals Katie Devine, Tim Collins, and Richard Brown further establishing Rockabill as a leader in providing innovative development and financial services to owners and operators of affordable and supportive housing.”

“I am thrilled to join Rockabill. Niall has assembled a dynamic and creative team that shares my long-demonstrated commitment to expanding housing opportunities for all, and enhancing communities across New York and Pennsylvania,” said Dirr.

Dirr joins Rockabill after 12.5 years with a national “Top 5” multi-family developer where he oversaw all aspects of the firm’s development activities. During his tenure there, Dirr oversaw the development of more than 2,000 units of multi-family housing with a market capitalization exceeding $600 million.

Dirr has a Juris Doctor degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his undergraduate studies at The State University of New York at Binghamton. He is engaged civically in Western New York and is an active board member of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing, the Pennsylvania Development Council, and other industry organizations.
