Postler & Jaeckle Corp. celebrates 50th anniversary

Leading mechanical contractor and engineering firm Postler & Jaeckle, which employs 210 people in Rochester and 400 employees across New York and Pennsylvania, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a yearlong series of events in 2014. The company, which is headquartered at 615 South Ave., plans, executes and maintains large-scale heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Postler & Jaeckle conducts $90 million of mechanical engineering work annually throughout the northeastern United States for private building owners, municipalities, educational institutions, corporations, developers and construction companies. Notable local buildings that Postler & Jaeckle has worked on include Eastman School of Music and Wegmans on East Ave. Other notable projects conducted during the company's history include the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics bobsled run, First Federal Plaza in Buffalo, the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), Cornell University Animal Hospital and the Cornell Life Science Building. In addition to its office in Rochester, the company also has facilities in Syracuse, Albany, Lyons, Binghamton, Horseheads (N.Y.) and Pittston, Pa. In honor of its anniversary, Postler & Jaeckle will host a yearlong series of companywide celebratory events, as well as local market activities at each of its offices. Events will include a gala event to honor its employees, customers and vendors.
