Pezenik of DJK discusses three influential women

Name: Phyllis Pezenik Title: Principal Broker Company Name: DJK Residential Years in Real Estate: 15 years in real estate brokerage, and 35 years of relevant real estate experience in architectural engineering In the last 12 months, which project, transaction, honor or accomplishment are you most proud of and why? We developed a commercial division from the ground up, in addition to our already successful residential sector that is really beginning to bear fruit. We now have five dedicated commercial agents with some sizable deals in the works. Who are three women - living or dead - that you would like to have drinks with and why? Hillary Clinton. She's brilliant and I greatly admire her for numerous reasons. Indra Nooyi, the CEO of PepsiCo, as I admire her honesty and integrity. And J.K. Rowling. She brought herself up from poverty and created an empire out of her own determination and creativity. What was your first job and what did you learn from it? When I was 13 years old, I took care of two children all summer. It taught me how to be patient and nurturing, skills I still use on a day-to-day basis managing our real estate agents. Looking back, it was an enormous responsibility for a 13-year-old, but I gained the trust and respect of my employer, and have done the same at every job thereafter. What is your favorite quote? "Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world." Hillary Clinton said that, and she was spot on.
