NGKF reps both parties in lease at 230 Fifth Avenue

The Smith, a casual American brasserie, is opening a fourth Manhattan location in the burgeoning NoMad district at 230 Fifth Ave., the home furnishings center also known as 1150 Broadway. Harvey Richer and Jonathan Krivine of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail represented both parties in the transaction. Jane Gural-Senders and Eric Gural advised on behalf of 230 Fifth Avenue Associates LLC. The 20-story building has been in the Newmark Holdings portfolio since 1958. "With an influx of hotels, restaurants and boutiques, as well as the transformation of Madison Square Park, NoMad is undergoing a breathtaking renaissance, which is reflected not only by the new Broadway retail mix but also in the surge in demand for both residential and office space," said Gural-Senders.
