Hempstead, NY Eastman Cooke Construction CEO Peter Morandi was honored by Long Island nonprofit ACDS at the agency’s Annual Golf Classic on May 11, 2017. More than 200 guests attended this year’s event, held at Hempstead Golf & Country Club. Approximately $100,000 was raised to support ACDS’ programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome, autism and other developmental disabilities.

Morandi was recognized for his many contributions to the agency, where he serves on the Board of Directors. His insight, expertise and knowledge of construction have played an important role in ensuring the continued safety and well-being of children and adults at ACDS.

In addition to being a longtime supporter of the agency, Morandi has contributed to numerous charitable causes across the New York area.

As CEO of one of the city’s leading construction management firms, Morandi has created an award-winning corporate culture fueled by continued innovation and strong relationships with vendors, clients and subcontractors. Under his leadership, Eastman Cooke’s revenue has grown significantly, helping to place the firm at the center of New York City’s construction boom. Major clients include Hospital for Special Surgery, NYU Langone and Audi of Queens.

“I’m thrilled to be part of ACDS and contribute to an organization that has been impacting lives for more than 50 years,” Morandi said. “Through our shared commitment to deliver exemplary care, I look forward to helping the agency transform more lives for years to come. Many thanks to executive director Michael Smith, my fellow Board members and to the entire ACDS staff for this wonderful honor.”
