Mertens joins Omni as associate broker

Omni Development Company, Inc. has named veteran real estate broker Thomas Mertens to the position of associate broker. Mertens brings with him 15 years of industry experience, specializing in real estate transactions with financial, technology, medical, architecture and engineering firms. Prior to joining Omni, Mertens was the owner and president of Innovative Realty - a Hoboken, N.J. real estate brokerage firm. During his time at Innovative, Mertens achieved membership in the Century 21 Centurion Honor Society. In addition, Mertens owns Mountie Properties LLC, a residential development company specializing in rehabilitating urban apartments. In his newly appointed position with Omni, Mertens will be responsible for the lease and sale of various Capital Region properties for third party clients and those in the Omni portfolio. His experience and specialization will prove to be a valuable asset in his new role of developing business relationships within the rapidly expanding Tech Valley corridor.
