Medaglia of ACC Construction Corp.: Honored with Sponsorship Award at CREW New York Luncheon

Name: Michele Medaglia Title: President and CEO Company Name: ACC Construction Corporation Follow my company on Twitter @ ACC_NYC What year did you start your career in commercial real estate: 1990 Real Estate Associations/Organizations: Women's Business Enterprise National Council, CREW NY President's Council Member, NY Real Estate Division of the Diabetes Research Institute Public Relations Co-Chair, Nontraditional Employment for Women Ambassador's Council Member, Hofstra Women in Leadership Committee Member, SHARE Cancer Support Committee Member What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why? At the end of last year, we attended a CREW New York Luncheon and were delightfully surprised to receive a Sponsorship Award for our longtime support of the organization. As a former president, I hold the organization and the women who are a part of it in the highest regard. Receiving recognition for our support and long-standing sponsorship was such a wonderful honor. What has been your experience with having a mentor or being a mentor yourself? I have a core group of women in the business who I consider mentors. What started out as a networking group evolved into a tightly-knit circle of best friends determined to help each other. There's something good to be said about women helping other women—if you are friends with the right women. What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a fashion designer. I have an affinity for creativity, and am fortunate to channel that side into working in the construction industry by building great projects.
