Marathon Energy ranked #16 in Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing Metro NY companies

Marathon Energy's power and gas affiliate has been ranked 16th in the 2015 Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the Metro N.Y.C. area. This prestigious list of companies is based on annual revenue growth over three years of operation. The affiliate, Marathon Power, recorded a three-year growth rate of 2,674%, ranking the company 147th in the United States, and ninth in the energy industry nationwide. "We are honored to be included on the Inc. 500 list of companies," said Marathon co-founder and president Jerry Drenis. "Marathon has achieved a great deal of success, thanks to our smart, dedicated team that works hard to offer the best possible services to our customers. Our experience and knowledge of the energy industry has created a strong reputation that centers around customer service and the ability to offer competitive pricing to those we serve." In addition, Marathon continues to expand its services and capabilities with the launch of Marathon Fuels, LLC, dedicated to wholesale fuels sales. "We were granted a wholesale terminal license by the State of New York, which allows Marathon to bring its experience and success from the retail business to the wholesale market, with focus on quality service at competitive prices. Further to that, we have taken a significant inventory position at two of the largest oil terminal facilities in New York Harbor. By doing so, we have secured millions of gallons of our own fuel, independent of other suppliers. This will ensure the availability of product regardless of any local or worldwide issues" said Drenis. "We offer the benefits of a large commercial energy supplier with the flexible, personalized service only a small energy supplier can provide." Marathon Energy provides fuel oil, electricity, natural gas, cogeneration and solar energy to over 10,000 customers in the New York metropolitan area, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In addition, the company has an in-house staff of boiler and burner installers, licensed plumbers, and mechanical engineers trained and certified to provide both installation and complete maintenance services to all building heating systems. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, to ensure that their customers are always taken care of.
