Madison Capital and Salmar Properties close 79,053 s/f lease

Brooklyn, NY Madison Capital and Salmar Properties have closed a 79,053 s/f lease at Liberty Bklyn, 850 Third Ave., with new tenant, Care/of. With move-in slated for mid-2022, Liberty Bklyn looks forward to providing Care/of’s entire business room to grow through the building’s rock-solid infrastructure, technological capabilities and shipping capacity. The building has completed 185,000 s/f of new leasing in the past two months.

Care/of was represented by James Ferrigno of Jones Lang LaSalle on the lease while Liberty Bklyn was represented by David Junik, Mark Caso, Steve Nadel and Nechama Liberow of Pinnacle Realty.

“Care/of is an innovative, locally grown firm with a compelling brand and significant ambition,” said Jonathan Ratner, managing director, Madison Capital. “We look forward to Care/of joining the Liberty Bklyn
community and utilizing the building’s robust infrastructure and expansive floorplates to further grow their business.”

“Liberty Bklyn’s superior logistical offerings, including its substantial and agile loading capacity, and the property’s ability to house all functions of our business efficiently, from manufacturing and shipping to offices, make this an ideal location to scale,” said Michael Pignatiello, COO, Care/of. “Sunset Park also offers us unique access to talent and major shipping thoroughfares in the region.”

Care/of is relocating and consolidating its industrial operations from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and its offices in Manhattan to part of the 6th floor of Liberty Bklyn. The space will accommodate manufacturing, shipping, production, creative and administrative functions for the brand, which produces high-quality vitamins, supplements and powders, shipped directly to consumers’ doors.
