Levy and Maslin of Adams & Co. broker 16,000 s/f

Adams & Co. Real Estate, LLC, one of Manhattan's premier full-service real estate firms specializing in property management, brokerage and consulting services, brokered a 16,000 s/f, new lease as expansion space for Bentex Group, at 34 West 33rd St., a premier children's apparel company, the tenant will now occupy 39,000 s/f. David Levy and Brett Maslin of Adams & Co. represented the tenant and the landlord, Arcade Building Associates. Bentex Group will utilize the full 11th floor for general and executive offices, as well as a showroom for the company's apparel. Although the details of the transaction were not disclosed, asking rent was $48 per s/f, for the seven year, five month lease. "Bentex Group has maintained great success in recent years and required a larger, more spacious layout to accommodate the growth of the company," said David Levy, principal of Adams & Co. "34 West 33rd Street is the ideal location, as it serves as heart and soul of the children's apparel business." Bentex Group is a family of brands, which work in design, production and sales of children's apparel. The company, founded over 75 years ago, works with brands such as The Beatles, Charlie Brown, Batman and Disney. Bentex Group products are distributed worldwide, including North America, Europe, South America, Japan and Australia. Built in 1908, this 12-story, 158,200 s/f building has 24/7 infrared key access, new elevators, hallways and windows, and it is located just steps away from Herald Square. Other notable tenants include The Rose Garden, Baby Fair and Bon Bebe.
