Levin Management executes 539,000 s/f in 12-months, sees growth

North Plainfield, NJ According to Matthew Harding, president of Levin Management, the firm continues to experience strong levels of leasing activity, executing 539,000 s/f of new leases, renewals and expansions during the past 12 months.

Levin’s transactions include a 50,000 s/f lease with ACME Markets at Barnegat Village in Barnegat, N.J.; a 23,000 s/f signing with Crunch Fitness at Rutgers Plaza in Franklin, N.J.; and an 8,200 s/f commitment by Five Below at Stafford Park Shopping Center in Manahawkin, N.J. Other leases include a 7,400 s/f lease with AutoZone at Mid-Town Plaza in Middletown, Pa.; a 6,200 s/f commitment by Long Horn Steakhouse at Crossroads Place in Falls Church, Va.; and a 3,000 s/f commitment by Visionworks at Post Road Plaza in Pelham Manor, N.Y.

Supermarkets, fitness chains and discount stores remain among the most active categories looking to establish or expand in Levin’s market area, according to Harding. “We continue to experience a healthy pace in new leasing and renewal activity as a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional tenants look to grow their footprints in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic marketplaces,” said Harding. “The diverse mix of transactions throughout our portfolio over the last 12 months has brought a number of new retailers, service providers and restaurants into the marketplace.”

Along with increased leasing activity, Levin continues to grow its leasing and management portfolio. The firm was awarded a number of significant new leasing and management assignments in recent months, including properties in Whiting and Woodbridge, N.J.; Philadelphia, Pa.; and Hicksville, N.Y.

To support the firm’s continued growth, Levin also added key personnel to its leasing, construction and property management departments.

Levin Management is one of the nation’s leading retail real estate services firms, with a strong focus in the northeastern United States and an owner’s approach to the business. The firm offers a full range of services for a diverse portfolio that encompasses approximately 95 properties and more than 13 million square feet, including leasing, property management, accounting, construction management and marketing. Levin serves properties ranging from neighborhood, community, lifestyle and power centers, to enclosed malls, street retail, downtown stores and mixed-use projects in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia and North Carolina.
