David Kittle, CMB, executive vice president of Vision Mortgage Capital was sworn in as the 2009 chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) at the association's 95th Annual Convention & Expo.
Active in the mortgage banking industry since 1978, Kittle started with American Fletcher Mortgage Co. and became a top loan originator before moving to management. In 1994 he opened his own company, Associates Mortgage Group, and sold it in January 2006.
Kittle is a former chairman of MORPAC, MBA's political action committee, a former vice chairman of the MBA residential board of governors and is a member of MBA's advisory committee.
In addition to Kittle, MBA also elected Robert Story, Jr., CMB, president of Seattle Financial Group, as chairman-elect of MBA and Michael Berman, CMB, president of CWCapital, as vice chairman of MBA. All three officers will serve for the 2008-2009 fiscal year.
