Kelly of Hanna Commercial Real Estate named NYSCAR Realtor of the Year

Albany, NY James Kelly, CCIM, Hanna Commercial Real Estate, Syracuse, was named NYSCAR’s Realtor of the Year for 2022 during the February 7 NYSCAR board meeting.

The NYSCAR Realtor of the Year award is given each year to recognize an outstanding active member of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR). A long-time active member of NYSCAR, Kelly is the current membership and communications chairman for NYSCAR.

Always willing to lend his support and time for NYSCAR for almost twenty years, Kelly was recognized for his untiring efforts on behalf of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors, Inc.

Kelly has served on the NYSCAR board of governors for 18 years and is an integral member of the planning committee for the NYSCAR Annual Conference.

Being very active with the Syracuse area chapter of NYSCAR, he served as a board member since formation in 2013. He has helped coordinate education classes, golf tournaments and other events for the chapter. Kelly has also been a long-time member of the Upstate NY CCIM Chapter, having served as president, vice president and treasurer.

With over 30 years in the business, Kelly has trained and mentored many agents. He sold multi-family properties, retail centers and warehouses/mixed use properties.

He served as a partner in the development of a 400-unit multi-family property; managing partner acquiring and managing multifamily units and a consultant for a national multi-family developer with over 30,000 units.

Active in the community, Kelly has served as a board member for many organizations including, Onondaga County Planning Federation, Loretto Foundation, Syracuse Opera, and is a past president of Heart to Heart, Cavalry Veterans of Syracuse and Southside Businessmen’s Club.
