Kaufman and Rascob of Kaufman Organization broker 7,000 s/f lease
According to The Kaufman Organization, Printmaker International, Ltd., a textile design company, has signed a five-year lease for 7,000 s/f at 470 Seventh Ave. Steven Kaufman and Barbara Raskob of the Kaufman Organization represented the landlord while Marc Schoen of Savitt Partners, LLC represented the tenant. The space was formerly occupied by Sababa Global Productions.
Printmaker International was founded 23 years ago as a sample textile design company. Today the company has expanded to custom artwork, have an in-house studio and specialize in silk fabrications. Printmaker International will use the entire sixth floor to operate its independent brand strategy design firm.
470 Seventh Ave. is located in the Garment District and was built in 1925. This 12-story building features a concierge and 24/7 access. Tenants include Web Collage, Inc., MTA and The Design Council. Retail tenants include: Bread Factory, Hale & Hearty Soups, Starbucks and Joseph Bechor & Rock & Soul Electronics.
