JLL arranges 17,850 s/f lease at Minskoff’s 1166 Avenue of the Americas

Manhattan, NY JLL made know that Epiq., a deliverer of legal and compliance services, has completed a 17,850 s/f lease at 1166 Avenue of the Americas, the 44-story skyscraper that occupies the entire block front of Avenue of the Americas between West 45th and 46th Sts. in Midtown.

Epiq is relocating from 777 Third Ave. as part of this transaction. The company will use the space, which covers the partial 12th floor of 1166 Avenue of the Americas, and features 15 ½ foot ceiling heights, as its New York headquarters.

Property owner Edward J. Minskoff Equities (EJME) completed a new amenity area on the 12th floor, including a tenant-only lounge, café and fitness center with lockers and showers. These amenities opened in September and will complement an existing 12,000 s/f conference center on the same floor.

1166 Avenue of the Americas offers tenants access to virtually every other part of New York City thanks to the nearby transit options. In addition to the several MTA bus and subway lines along Avenue of the Americas, the property is near Grand Central Station, Penn Station and Port Authority, and the property is also near Bryant Park.

A JLL team including Matt Astrachan, Dan Turkewitz, Harrison Potter, and Nicole Tiger represented the tenant. Additionally, JLL’s Paul Glickman, Cynthia Wasserberger, Diana Biasotti and Christine Colley represented the landlord in this transaction along with Jeffrey Sussman and Matthew Pynn of EJME.

“We are thrilled to finalize this new lease at 1166 Avenue of the Americas,” Astrachan said. “Epiq was drawn to the property’s top-class amenities, committed ownership, proximity to transit and the offerings of Midtown Manhattan.”
