Irongate Management receives 17 Crystal Merit Awards from AAKC

Irongate Management, LLC, one of the leading managers of multifamily properties throughout the U.S., was recognized with 17 prestigious Crystal Merit Awards from the Apartment Association of Kansas City (AAKC). The awards were presented at the organization's Crystal Merit Awards Banquet at the Overland Park Convention Center. The awards are a testament to the quality of the features and amenities provided at Irongate's regional properties, as well as the sterling reputation that the company's employees have attained. The 17 awards, which represent more than 20% of the total distributed by the AAKC, recognize four different Irongate properties with a combined 14 awards. The company and its corporate team earned three awards. "As the leading local multifamily association, the AAKC sets the apartment standard in Kansas City," said Nia M. Walters, Irongate's Regional Vice President, who was recently inducted into the AAKC board of directors. "Achieving this recognition is very meaningful to me and all of my Irongate colleagues." Since their inception in 1996, the AAKC's Crystal Merit Awards have honored excellence in the Kansas City apartment industry. Last year, Irongate affiliate GFI Management was awarded 13 of the 90-plus annual awards. Irongate's corporate awards included the "Company Management Team of the Year," and "Management Executive of the Year." Irongate's Carrington Park, Carrington Place, Villas at Carrington Square and Infinity at Plaza West's awards included "Property of the Year"; Kim Andress being named "Most Valuable Player of the Year" and "Leasing Professional of the Year"; and "Best Property Activities/Events." These awards come on the heels of several other national accolades for Irongate. In December 2014, the AAKC named Irongate the "National Management Company of the Year," recognizing the firm for its unique level of commitment. In October 2014, one of Irongate's suburban Kansas City properties was honored by the City of Overland Park with the city's annual "Excellence in Landscaping Award," a testament to Irongate's commitment to area beautification through landscaping and other efforts. Founded in 1974, the Apartment Association of Kansas City is a leading, regional multifamily industry organization, representing 704 members and 64,984 units. In addition to educational initiatives, it is involved in various promotional and legislative activities.
