Brooklyn, NY IREM NYC hosted an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) educational track at Long Island University January 29 to February 2. Eighteen students learned the many different aspects of being an effective residential property manager — budgeting, leasing, maintenance, risk management, resident relations and retention. The ARM is the residential property management certification that teaches early-career real estate managers the core competencies to manage residential properties successfully.

Jason Silver of American Pipe & Tank, a long-time IREM NYC industry partner, brought lunch for the class and spoke to them about his family’s fourth-generation water tank business.
