Industry mourns loss of Grossman - the garage "art king"

Semone Grossman passed away March 24th. Grossman earned renown throughout the parking and real estate industries as the garage "art king". A self-made Holocaust survivor, he opened his first garage in 1957 and went on to build a parking empire of 45 locations throughout New York City. Grossman believed in beautifying those normally drab garage spaces and was highly respected for revolutionizing the business by decorating his always clean, well-lit garages with his trademark collages of fine-art museum posters and other interesting and innovative aesthetic motifs. Grossman, known for his hard-driving, ebullient spirit and an unmistakable joie de vivre will be missed by his friends, family, associates and colleagues in parking and in real estate.
