Hurwitz of S&Z brokers sale of 22,000 s/f bldg.

Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC (S&Z) represented Safeguard Storage in its purchase of a 22,000 s/f building in the East New York neighborhood, according to S&Z chairman Sanford Zuckerbrot. Although the exact sales price was undisclosed, the buyer reportedly paid close to the $2.8 million asking price. Safeguard Storage will redevelop the site, at 1648 East New York Ave., with the ground-up construction of a multi-level self-storage facility. Hurwitz represented Safeguard Storage. James Tack of Don Alan Realty Associates represented the seller, 1648 East New York Avenue, LLC. Founded in 1962, Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC is a full-service real estate firm offering retail, office, industrial and investment brokerage, property management, plus development and build-to-suit projects. The firm is based in Long Island City (Queens), New York City.
