HUNT Insurance Agency appoints Weber as new president

David Weber

Buffalo, NY HUNT Real Estate Corp. chairman and CEO Peter Hunt has appointed David Weber as president of the HUNT Insurance Agency. According to Hunt, “David Weber brings a depth of experience in the insurance industry and as a business leader to our organization, specifically to our insurance agency as we continue to develop this vital element of a superior experience for our clients.” Weber joined the firm in 2019 as vice president after thirty years of experience in the insurance industry.

A graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in political science, Weber began his business career as an independent producer with Lawley Insurance. He later served as vice president of insurance at financial institutions and member and affinity group organizations.

In his new role as president, Weber will be responsible for the execution of the business plan, including the continued development of client relationships as part of the HUNT integrated real estate and homeownership services organization.

Weber said, “The best part of my job is the family-oriented atmosphere that defines the HUNT company culture, the opportunity to help create brand awareness, and to grow a relatively new and expanding full-service insurance agency.”

Throughout Weber’s career, he has been involved in the community. He is a board member of Hope Chest Buffalo, has been a long-time United Way volunteer and supporter, is a former board member of the Scleroderma Foundation of Western New York, and served as a youth hockey coach at the Nichols School and the Hamburg Hockey organization.
